Distinguish chemistry and version

The Volta range uses different battery systems. Lead-gel/VRLA and lithium systems must not be used with arbitrary chargers. LFP is a lithium-ion technology with its own charging and storage requirements.

Voltage alone is not sufficient for charger selection. Chemistry, charging profile, current, connector and manufacturer approval must match.

Range is not a fixed promise

Range depends on temperature, load, speed, hills, tyre pressure and battery condition, among other factors. Allow a reserve. Manufacturer figures are comparison values and do not replace assessment of your actual route.

Take warning signs seriously

If a battery is deformed, leaking, unusually hot, smells abnormal or smokes, stop riding and charging. Do not open or repair it yourself. Keep your distance and call 112 in an emergency; otherwise contact our service team.
