Volta Motor · Germany & Austria

Privacy policy

How we process data for enquiries, orders and use of this website.

1. Controller

G&C Handels GmbH & Co. KG, Josef-Bautz-Straße 26, 63457 Hanau, Germany. Email: info@volta-motors.de; telephone: +49 6181 3698350.

2. Shopify and technical provision

Our shop is provided on Shopify. IP addresses, access time, requested pages and browser/device information are processed to deliver content, secure the service and resolve faults. Legal basis: GDPR Article 6(1)(f); our legitimate interest is a secure, functioning shop.

For European customers, the usual contact is Shopify International Limited, Victoria Buildings, 1–2 Haddington Road, Dublin 4, D04 XN32, Ireland. Our actual contractual arrangements govern. See Shopify privacy information and data processing terms.

3. Advice, contact and complaints

We process names, contact and vehicle details, order references and messages you provide to handle your request. Contract-related requests rely on GDPR Article 6(1)(b); other requests on our legitimate interest in communication under Article 6(1)(f). Forms use Shopify and its security features.

Send only necessary information. Avoid identity copies, payment or health data and unnecessary details about other people. Photographs and documents can be supplied separately by email when needed. An enquiry or complaint does not subscribe you to marketing.

4. Orders, delivery and payment

For orders we process contact, billing and delivery details, items and versions, quantities, prices and payment status to fulfil the contract, arrange handover and handle defect claims and returns. Legal basis: GDPR Article 6(1)(b). Necessary delivery information is shared with the appointed carrier.

Selecting a payment method transfers required transaction information to the provider named in checkout. Its own checks, legal obligations and privacy information may also apply. Only payment services actually offered are used; checkout information governs.

5. Cookies and local storage

Essential storage supports the cart, security, language and privacy preferences. Where strictly necessary for the expressly requested service, German TDDDG Section 25(2) applies; subsequent personal-data processing follows GDPR Article 6.

Optional analytics and marketing require consent under TDDDG Section 25(1) and GDPR Article 6(1)(a). Use “Cookie settings” in the footer to change or withdraw your selection. Search and comparison do not create a marketing profile.

6. External videos and links

YouTube videos load only when you expressly choose “Load video” or consent to the video category. IP addresses, device information and usage data may then reach Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, and other Google companies, potentially in third countries. Processing relies on your consent. Enhanced privacy mode does not prevent all data transfers.

Withdrawing consent prevents further embeds on this website; it does not reverse processing already performed. Alternatively, open the link directly on YouTube. See Google privacy information. Other external links are visited only when you open them.

7. Withdrawal and communications

For withdrawal we process your name, contact address, contract identification, the declaration and its receipt time to handle and confirm it. Legal bases are GDPR Article 6(1)(b) and (c). Withdrawal does not subscribe you to advertising.

Order and security messages serve contract fulfilment. Advertising is sent only with valid consent or legal permission. Technical service providers are involved only as required.

8. Recipients, third countries and retention

Necessary information may be shared with hosting, security, payment and transport providers. Shopify, Google or other providers may process data outside the EEA. GDPR Articles 44 onwards apply, including an applicable adequacy decision or suitable safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Requests are kept for as long as handling requires. Contract and transaction records also follow commercial and tax retention periods (GDPR Article 6(1)(c)); defence of claims may rely on Article 6(1)(f). We delete or anonymise data once purposes and periods end.

9. Your rights

Subject to legal conditions, rights include access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and withdrawal of consent for the future. For processing under GDPR Article 6(1)(f), you can object on grounds relating to your particular situation; you can object to direct marketing at any time.

Contact us using the details above. You can complain to a supervisory authority, including the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information. We do not make solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects. Payment providers’ own assessments follow their information. Updated 2 October 2026.

Electronic withdrawal and dealer enquiries

We use Revoq, provided by Jonas Busch (BuschBytes), for electronic withdrawals. On our behalf, the service processes your name, email address, contract and withdrawal details, timestamps and processing status. You receive an acknowledgement by email. Under the free plan, Revoq automatically deletes its records after 90 days; our own retention of necessary business records is separate.

The provider uses sub-processors for hosting, databases, email delivery and technical error monitoring. Details are available in Revoq’s privacy notice and its data processing agreement, including the sub-processor details.

Dealer enquiries and uploaded business registration documents are received through Shopify Forms and used to assess and answer your enquiry. A dealer enquiry does not subscribe you to a newsletter. Please upload only the documents needed for your business enquiry.
